Mr. van der Vant has been with Major Enterprises, Inc. since 1989. As the President of Major Enterprises, Inc., Mr. van der Vant has been responsible for the strategic planning and operations, as well as, company’s growth. With Mr. van der Vant’s guidance Major Enterprises, Inc. is ranked among the top real estate companies with the annual sales volume of approximately $1 Billion Dollars.

Professionally licensed as a real estate broker, real estate auctioneer, continuing education instructor, pre-licensing instructor, and a loan originator, Mr. van der Vant is a real expert in real estate. A problem solver with diverse experience in competitive market development, marketing, management, investing, law, mortgage financing, title insurance, project acquisition, construction, and development. He is a creative thinker possessing vision to turn any business into a profitable enterprise. Mr. van der Vant participated in the sale of approximately 10,000 residential and commercial properties throughout North America for corporations, developers, financial institutions, syndicators, and private individuals. Mr. van der Vant has managed and operated construction companies, mortgage companies, as well as, a title insurance company. Mr. van der Vant has been active in the Realtor community since 1988 and he is a member of many real estate industry organizations.

Mr. van der Vant served as the Vice Chairman of the International Committee of the Chicago ociation of Realtors (2002); the Chairman of the International Committee of the Chicago ociation of Realtors (2003); Board Member and Director of the Chicago ociation of Realtors (2002 — 2004); Board Member and Director of the Illinois CCIM Chapter (2000 — 2008); Treasurer of the Illinois CCIM Chapter (2003); Vice President of the Illinois CCIM Chapter (2004); and the President of the Illinois CCIM Chapter (2005). Mr. van der Vant completed training at The World Bank Headquarters in Washington, DC. On the subject of “Housing Finance in Emerging Markets — Policy and Regulatory Challenges” (2003), and participated in organizing a secondary mortgage market in Poland as a consultant to and a liaison between Polish Housing and Urban Development Administration and Fannie Mea (2002 — 2004).

Mr. van der Vant has been a “Golden R” member in good standing of the National ociation of Realtors, Political Action Committee since 2001. He is also a member of the National Auctioneers ociation (NAA) and the Illinois State Auctioneers ociation. Mr. van der Vant has been awarded the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation by the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute. The CCIM designation is earned upon completion of a graduate-level curriculum and attainment of a level of qualifying experience. CCIMs are recognized experts in commercial and investment real estate brokerage, leasing, et management, valuation, investment analysis, and form a business network encompassing many markets throughout the world. Mr. van der Vant is among a hand full of auctioneers with the CCIM designation in the United States and world wide.

Mr. van der Vant has been confirmed by the National Auctioneers ociation as an Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate (AARE), and he also earned many other industry designations and certifications, such as: CIPS — (Certified International Property Specialist), CRB — (Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager), CRS — (Certified Residential Specialist), ABR — (Accredited Buyer’s Representative), ePRO — (Internet Proficient Realtor), PRI — (Professional Ringmen Institute), and GRI — (Graduate of the Realtor Institute). Mr. van der Vant has authored numerous articles on real estate and is quoted regularly in many prominent newspapers throughout the country. He is a graduate of the Illinois ociation of Realtors (IAR) Leadership Development Academy (2003) and the CCIM - Jay W. Levine Leadership Development Academy Class of 2003.
